It’s the Hopi belief, that, if you’re not spiritually connected to the earth, and understand the spiritual reality of how to live on earth, it’s likely you will not make it. You should treat all things as Spirit – realize that we are ONE Family.

Few people today, when they’re cycling past a stand of oaks, sense that those trees are sensing them; we don’t feel the breeze gusting around us as a sensitive and sentient presence, and upon arriving at our place of work and settling down to the day’s tasks, we don’t concern ourselves that the chairs we sit in register our presence, or that the walls of the room are affected by our actions.

If the essence of my being has caused a smile to have appeared upon your face, or a touch of joy within your heart, then in living I have made my mark.

When we forget that we are embedded in the natural world, we also forget that what we do to our surroundings we are doing to ourselves.

Struggling souls catch light from other souls who are fully lit and willing to show it. If you would help to calm the tumult, this is one of the strongest things you can do.

Our way into the future requires new cultural forms more than older ones, but there is at least one thread of the human story that I’m confident will continue, and this is the numinous or visionary calling at the core of the mature human heart.

We are the same, all human beings. Mentally, emotionally, physically, we are the same… In reality, I think no longer the concept of “we” and “they.” The entire nearly 7 billion human beings should [be] considered part of we. Because our individual future depends on them. So, for one’s own interest, you have to think about the whole planet, whole humanity. That is reality…

Every thing lives in relation to all other things. So what appears to be separate is actually a combination of interrelated parts.
Like a reciprocal roof, which is a self-supporting structure, we lean on each other from all sides. The centre is everywhere and if even one of us falls out of togetherness, we will all eventually fall.

More than ever, we must affirm our kinship with all life—with all other humans, all other life forms, with the living being that is our home planet. The illusion that we are separate is profoundly dangerous and leads us to do harm to ourselves, to our collective family of kin of every kind, to our earth mother, to the very life force that allows us to be here.

In my language healers are called the alikchi. It is in their honor that I write these words: Let the alikchi come forward. Let the healers come forward. We need them now and in so many ways. Let them come forward to lead our steps to health and harmony. Healers of every kind. Healers of the body, healers of the mind. Healers of the heart, healers of the soul. Physical healers and spiritual healers. Healers of conflict and division. Healers of anger and fear. Let them all come forward, for I know they are here. The alikchi are here. I know they are all around us. They know their gifts. They know what they can do. Let them come forward, Spirit, and bless each one as they do. Empower them to empower us that your people may be whole.

If we embrace the sacred within all of life, we will find that life will speak to us as it spoke to our ancestors. A veil will be lifted and this innate knowing will be present again. This is the ancient wisdom of the Earth itself, the Earth which has evolved and changed over millennia, whose wisdom we desperately need at this present time if we are to avoid an even greater ecological disaster.

Blessing is not just the sharing of material resources or the doing of kindnesses. It’s an act of sharing spirit, an act of invoking, inviting, and involving a spiritual dimension. We all can do this. it’s our innate heritage as human beings.

According to Navajo tradition, a “sacred wind” blows through the universe and brings the capacity for awareness and communication with others. Our individual consciousness is simply a local part of this larger, animating wind or life force that moves through all of nature.

I want to make it clear that my intention of presenting this information is to demonstrate that thoughts, intentions, prayer and other units of consciousness can directly influence our physical material world. Consciousness can be a big factor in creating change on the planet. Sending thoughts of love, healing intent, prayer, good intention, and more can have a powerful influence on what you are directing those feelings towards.
