There are so many other worlds. Sometimes when you hold special rocks, you can hear them.

Happy Solstice!
We are approaching the longest night in the northern hemisphere, when from the deepest darkness the new light is born. The last few days before Winter Solstice can be experienced as a descent, deeper and deeper into the darkness, with long nights and not much daylight, especially when the winter skies are cloudy.
But we have forgotten how to honor the darkness as a light bringing source, as a feminine quality. This is a time of the year when we can reclaim an intimate relationship with darkness, an understanding of its power.
And at the same time, in the southern hemisphere, we are expecting the longest day of the year, full of light. So the darkness is beautifully balanced on this planet, and we are always protected from getting lost in extremes.

For our indigenous partners in the Amazon rainforest of Ecuador, they don’t just live in the forest – they are the forest. They commune with Arutam, the spirit of the forest, to receive its guiding wisdom. May the forest be with us all.

Biologist Rupert Sheldrakes Morphic Resonance theory strongly suggests that cellular bioluminescence (which in humans ranges from ultraviolet to infrared) is both personal and transpersonal. In other words, not only is the individual human “networked” with DNA light emitters and receptors; it appears our entire species is morphogenetically networked much like individual cells that form a larger biological entity: humanity. This assertion has been substantiated by the Gariaev group, whose findings liken DNA not just to a holographic biocomputer but to a “biological Internet” that links all human beings. Many native wisdom traditions are based on an equivalent understanding of the universe (human inhabitants included) as a single living being intelligently networked like a biological organism.

Shamans and indigenous cultures view plants as the doorways to the healing nature of Mother Earth. There is an ancient South American belief that for every possible human ailment, there exists a plant (or combination of plants) to heal it. Botanists who go into the rainforest or other areas where indigenous peoples have lived for thousands of years without the outside influence of modern society have written that they are simply astounded at the ingenuity of the indigenous people in finding effective health remedies through plants.

The entire range of living matter on Earth from whales to viruses and from oaks to algae could be regarded as constituting a single living entity capable of maintaining the Earth’s atmosphere to suit its overall needs and endowed with faculties and powers far beyond those of its constituent parts.

This is About Mother Earth!
This effort has to be understood in the same light of our Peace work, which is “All Nations, All Faiths, One Prayer”. This effort to protect Mother Earth is all Humanitys responsibility, not just Aboriginal People. Every human being has had Ancestors in their lineage that understood their umbilical cord to the Earth, understanding the need to always protect and thank her. Therefore, all Humanity has to re-connect to their own Indigenous Roots of their lineage – to heal their connection and responsibility with Mother Earth and become a united voice.

I believe that the universe is one being, all its parts are different expressions of the same energy, and they are all in communication with each other, influencing each other, therefore parts of one organic whole.

Soft wind
There is a whisper, but its louder than the wind.
It calls to us, “Come Home.
The story is over, the pages are worn thin.
Come home.” Its like a chant,
a sacred OM underlying all else.
It requires no doing anything, or going
anywhere or becoming anything.
If only we see that we are this whispering sound,
all else will dissolve into peace.

A Blessing for Equilibrium
Like the joy of the sea coming home to shore,
May the music of laughter break through your soul.
As the wind wants to make everything dance,
May your gravity be lightened by grace.
Like the freedom of the monastery bell,
May clarity of mind make your eyes smile.
As water takes whatever shape it is in,
So free may you be about who you become.
As silence smiles on the other side of what’s said,
May a sense of irony give you perspective.
As time remains free of all that it frames,
May fear or worry never put you in chains.
May your prayer of listening deepen enough
To hear in the distance the laughter of God.

I like to experience the universe as one harmonious whole. Every cell has life. Matter, too, has life; it is energy solidified. The tree outside is life The whole of nature is life The basic laws of the universe are simple, but because our senses are limited, we cant grasp them. There is a pattern in creation.

We have to re-awaken and exercise the feeling parts of ourselves: our intuition, our body wisdom, our dreams and our deep listening. As we re-enliven the parts of our hearts that know that relationships are far more important than accomplishments, goals or tasks, well become better partners to ourselves, each other and the Earth.

The Circle has healing power. In the Circle, we are all equal. When in the Circle, no one is in front of you. No one is behind you. No one is above you. No one is below you. The Sacred Circle is designed to create unity. The Hoop of Life is also a circle. On this hoop there is a place for every species, every race, every tree and every plant. It is this completeness of Life that must be respected in order to bring about health on this planet.

The subject with which we are concerned is the spirituality of the earth. By this I do not mean a spirituality that is directed toward an appreciation of the earth. I speak of the earth as subject, not as object. I am concerned with the maternal principle out of which we were born and whence we derive all that we are and all that we have. In our totality we are born of the earth. We are earthlings. The earth is our origin, our nourishment, our support, our guide. Our spirituality itself is earth-derived. If there is no spirituality in the earth, then there is no spirituality in ourselves. The human and the earth are totally implicated each in the other.
